Kevin Kane exhibits at Miami Art Fair
I am thrilled to announce that my art will be showcased at Spectrum Art Fair in Miami from December 4th to December 8th! Spectrum is a renowned platform for innovative contemporary art, and I’m honored to be part of this vibrant event during Miami Art Week.
About My Work: Love, Sexuality, and the Human Experience
The pieces I’ll be exhibiting include a diverse mix of paintings, drawings, and prints, blending both digital and traditional techniques. Each piece delves into the complex and often beautiful questions surrounding love and sexuality, exploring the connections that make us human.
Through my art, I aim to provoke thought, invite vulnerability, and spark conversations about the emotional and physical facets of our relationships. Whether it’s a tender moment captured in delicate strokes or a bold exploration of desire, I hope my work resonates with viewers on a deeply personal level.

Work Included:
Carnation Liberation
Inspired by Oscar Wilde’s suggestion that his gay friends wear a green carnation to the opera, but imagined in a world where everyone is free to choose their own colour of carnation without shame or judgement from others. Some of the artworks are inspired by real people, whilst others are imagined. Whilst queer people have been some of the most discriminated against, the community has a unique and enthusiastic way of expressing joy which I tried to capture in these colourful paintings.
Crystal
Giclée print of digital drawing printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper. This artwork features Crystal from Ru Paul Drag Race UK (season 1) appearing both as masculine and feminine forms, using hand drawn swirling marks that are inspired by Chuck Close’s pixelated portraits.
The Three Graces
The Three Graces are mythical beings whose function was to liven up parties. I have reimagined the Three Graces to be a gay throuple livening up their own party. Traditional etching 30 x 40 cm plate, 50 x 70 cm.
Apollo Resting in the Garden of Eden
Apollo, the Greek god of music, relaxes reading about his favourite musician in the tropical Garden of Eden. His lyre is resting by his side. If you look carefully there are not one but three portraits in this artwork.
Apollo study
A study of my friend Rhian as Apollo, the Greek god of music.
The Tattoo
A study of a Brazilian artist model who had an impressive tattoo.
Yes, Ready
London based performer Sadiq inspects himself in the mirror to determine whether he is ready for the night ahead.
Sadiq and Josef
A two plate collagraph of London based performers Sadiq and Josef. It was intended to make multiple copies of this print but the plates did not survive after the first print so this is an edition of one.
